Fabric is the first point of contact between a garment and the body. Craft determines everything that follows. Finding the right partner for both was a long and deliberate journey.

We searched across countries, through fairs and factories, moving between samples, comparisons, and restarts. Some fabrics came close, but none were right.

There were moments when the easier path was to accept something almost correct. We did not.

A garment built to last is never a compromise.

The answer came from Portugal, in a workshop between Porto and Braga. With over seventy years of history, now run by the third generation, it blends fresh perspectives with craftsmanship rooted in tradition.

Within this workshop, the artisans bring expertise and care to every stitch. Garments are made with patience, preserving structure and enduring quality. It is a gesture of respect for the craft and a quiet homage to time.

This partnership also shaped how production is approached. We do not stock fabric in advance. Each order is produced only when needed. Production takes longer, but this approach avoids surplus, reduces unnecessary energy use, and allows careful attention throughout the process.

The workshop runs primarily on solar energy and is GOTS-certified, ensuring materials are safe and production meets rigorous ethical standards. Fair working hours, equitable treatment, and ongoing training support both life and work, honoring the people behind the garments.
